Let me see your fucking hands!! 7/31/13

Black Sabbath rocks South Florida on a hot and humid night. What can I say about the greatest rock band off all time. The crowd was a little older than Ozzfest crowds so there were no mosh pits or pushing in the field area and the crowd was very friendly. The Metal DJ came on first and played great songs from Dio, Maiden, Priest, Slayer, and other bands.

From the opening notes of War Pigs, Ozzy, like no one else,  had the crowd in the palm of his hand. He was happy, energized, having fun. As always he is unmatched as a front man. His voice sounded great and he nailed all the old songs. Ozzy is the man. Before Dirty Women he told the crowd how they recorded that album in nearby Miami and he remembers the great parties. The crowd went nuts. He also told the crowd that it was fucking hot as hell and he had sweaty balls, but that's no so bad anyway.

Tony and Geezer were just Godly perfection. Tony's guitar just ripped through my body and at moments I just looked up to the stars in wonder. He was all smiles and enough can't be said about his battle with cancer and his spirit. Geezer was amazing and flawless as always, his NIB intro (Basically) made my hair stand on end. Tommy Clufetos was outstanding on drums and spot on. It's obvious how much he loves Sabbath and how hard he has practiced. Fantastic drum solo while Ozzy got his breather. A class act.

The video show was killer, Fairies Wear Boots and Dirty Women videos were particularly amazing. Those two songs are still bouncing in my head this morning as they were in my dreams last night.

Below is one song that I recorded on my iphone,. It's low qualtiy but you can get feel of things from last night and a bit of crowd banter. The link is to last night's set list. Sabbath rules and can't wait to do it again in NJ Sunday. I fly out tomorrow and will attend that show with my brother.

Black Sabbath Diary

Black Sabbath will release the long awaited 9th studio album with the original line-up in Fall of 2012. This is my concept for the record. My daughter helped me as I suck at photoshop.

Please visit the daily updated Black Sabbath Diary on Google+. Here is a recent Diary post...

Ok Sab fans this is a good one, just uploaded. These songs were recorded in 1970 for the BBC Radio One "John Peel Show" in 1970. You can find these songs on the Ozzman Cometh CD, but only the first edition has all four songs. This was recorded before the Paranoid album came out, songs are Black Sabbath, Behind The Wall Of Sleep, Walpurgis (Warpigs), and Fairies Wear Boots. Listen at 25:40 for one of my favorite lines..."So I went to the doctor see what he could give me, He said Son, Son, you've gone too far, 'Cause smokin' and trippin' is all that you do, Yeah!" Check this out. From the Ozzman Cometh CD (US First Edition).
